Why does the price vary?
Airport transportation prices in Puerto Vallarta vary because not every destination is the same distance from Puerto Vallarta International Airport. AeroTPV’s site states that airport taxi rates are based on zones, so a short transfer within Puerto Vallarta may cost less than a longer transfer to areas farther north or south.
The required vehicle can also affect the price. AeroTPV offers different transportation options for individuals, families, and larger groups.
What affects the cost of a private airport transfer?
| Factor | How it affects the fare |
|---|---|
| Destination | Rates vary by transportation zone and distance from the airport |
| Vehicle type | Larger vehicles generally serve larger groups and different capacity needs |
| Passenger count | Determines which vehicle is appropriate |
| Luggage | May require a larger vehicle even when the passenger count is small |
| Extra services | Items such as child seats or approved additional stops can add to the total |
Is MXN $350 the price for every airport transfer?
No. MXN $350 is the current advertised starting price on AeroTPV’s website, not a universal fare for every destination and vehicle.
The actual cost depends on where you are going and what type of transportation your party needs. The most accurate way to price a trip is to enter your hotel or destination into the booking process.
Does a private transfer cost more for larger groups?
It can. Larger groups may need a van, Sprinter, bus, or multiple vehicles rather than a sedan. AeroTPV offers different vehicle types for different group sizes, so the final fare depends on the required capacity.
What about destinations outside central Puerto Vallarta?
AeroTPV provides Puerto Vallarta airport transportation to areas throughout Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit. Longer routes to destinations such as Nuevo Vallarta, Bucerías, Punta Mita, and other areas are priced according to the applicable destination and vehicle.
